The update is a major and prestigious publication of the Global Forum for Health Research, which provides insights into the newest thinking on gaps, priorities and case studies in health research for development.

The theme of this year’s sixth edition, which the Global Forum publishes in collaboration with Pro-Brook Publishing Ltd, London, is Uniting Social and Technological Innovation for Health. The various and exciting contributions aim to illustrate what innovation can do for health; recent case studies; failures and successes; funding, research and policy impact; and relevance to resource-poor settings.
